This facility houses a dual program consisting of a 16,000 SF library and an 11,000 SF senior center on a 3.9 acre wooded site. The project involved extensive client interaction to effectively combine the user groups on one site. The two programs were each given a prominent and accessible entrance, and the interiors were made open and friendly to serve as a community gathering place. This facility illustrates the spirit of accessibility while exemplifying a design approach to meet the needs of all individuals.
