As part of the overall restoration of Glen Echo Park, the design team worked with the National Park Services and Montgomery County to restore the Arcade Building. Work included the stabilization of the surrounding site, reconstruction of the amusement park era façade and provision of a sound, comfortable space for Adventure Theatre Children’s Theatre and their workshop as well as a local artist studio. Restoration of the iconic towers with lantern tops and neon ornament give new life to this much loved landmark. Additionally, the fanciful shell for the Denzel Carousel was restored to its historic construction and color palette.
