Western Maryland Visitor Center

The competition acts as a:
- Showcase of sustainable technologies
- Civil War educational site, and
- Regional landmark.
All of these aspects were combined into a completely self-sustaining facility. The competition was co-sponsored by Congressman Roscoe G. Bartlett and MDSHA.
