Located within the historic district of Frederick, this projects provides a much-needed new dining hall and full commercial kitchen serving children in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Special design considerations focused on accommodating the special needs of those with a variety of hearing and other disabilities by creating visual transparency throughout the building, addressing acoustical issues, emergency egress and life safety systems. The project included demolition of three vacant buildings and major utility relocations.
